Shooting

With long-range and short-range rifle ranges, handgun ranges, and manual and automatic trap throwers, BHR&GC is the perfect place to hone your shooting skills.

Hunting
Situated on nearly 200 acres, the BHR&GC property features farmed fields, natural fallow fields, large and small ponds, and hardwood forests. Hunting club members target deer, small game, waterfowl, and stocked upland birds on the club property. An additional annual fee is charged to all members who hunt the club property.

Fishing
Located adjacent to the Delaware River and Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, superb fishing spots surround the club property. The various ponds on the club property also host several species of freshwater fish.

Sharing
Help preserve the traditions of the shooting and outdoor sports by sharing with other club members and their family members.

Socializing
The camaraderie shared among club members is realized through socializing at the club and at various club-sponsored events.


About the Brandywine Hundred Rod and Gun Club

Established in 1950 and located in Port Penn, Delaware, the Brandywine Hundred Rod and Gun Club has been enjoyed by hundreds of members interested in the shooting sports.

The purposes of the BHR&GC are:

  • To promote approved programs of competitive and recreational firearms use for its members.

  • To provide a site for legal, safe, authorized hunting,
    fishing, and competitive and recreational firearms programs for its members.

  • To promote the principles of conservation and of the
    preservation and enhancement of the natural environment and wildlife management.

  • To support educational programs for responsible firearms
    ownership and use.

  • To encourage and support appropriate legislation pertaining to conservation, the preservation of the natural environment, and the recreational use of firearms.

  • To provide its members with information relating to any of the above.

BHR&GC CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Any citizen of the United States of America of suitable character and interest and over 18 years of age may become a member of the Brandywine Hundred Rod and Gun Club.

Additional requirements for new membership are:

  • An application approved by the Board of Directors

  • Payment of a $500 initiation fee and $250 annual dues.

  • Completion of a Civilian Marksmanship Program Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement

  • Satisfactory completion of the club Safety Orientation.

The total membership of the club shall be a number recommended by the Membership Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. When membership drops below this number the membership may be opened and those applicants on the waiting list considered for membership in the proper order.
